bird photography : white-crowned sparrow

This vocal little songbird was one of the first John spotted on a recent trip to the Monterey peninsula.  The many White-crowned Sparrows he saw seemed to prefer perching in the thick, hedge-like foliage along the rocky coastline.

Photography Notes:
Though perhaps slightly front-focused on the bushes, the photo is still quite stunning in its capture of the sparrow in full song.
