nature photography : american kestrel

The American Kestrel is a small falcon often seen perched along power lines and fenceposts, spying out prey in the form of small songbirds and hapless furry mammals. John saw this one at the end of an incredible day of birding at Fort De Soto near Tampa, Florida.
