bird photography : american goldfinch

Many songbirds really prefer a birdbath placed at ground level (verses atop a pedestal), so we placed a small bath out in one of the natural areas of our backyard. To sweeten the deal, we added a solar-powered fountain to keep the water moving. Clearly, this male American Goldfinch was pleased; he's pictured on a twig overlooking the bath's basin.
