bird photography : northern cardinal

Though a fairly common bird, the Cardinal had proved an elusive subject for a decent photograph for John for some time, often appearing in the shade or behind several branches. After a long (and productive) morning at Huntley Meadows, John captured this photo of the state bird just outside the visitor's center.
